WritingThoughts is one year old today. It seems hard to believe that it’s been that long since I started blogging.
There have been a lot of changes in the last twelve months.
Probably the most notable change to the blog is that I now have readers. Between 150 and 200 of you stop by here every day. (I know this, because I check the stats.) On the first
Like chickenpox, my blogging has spread. Now, I have a second blog that I own, OpinionMom, where I share my opinion. Blogging has also become a part of my writing business. I have a paid blogging gig over at Work From Home Momma and later this week I’ll make an announcement about another paid blogging gig.
But enough about me. This blog is really all about you. With that in mind, leave a comment and let me know what you enjoy here and what you’d like to see added.

Congratulations on the B-Day, Laura! Ah, I remember when MZM was one year old… it seems only yesterday. Hey, wait – it WAS just yesterday!
No, just kidding. But it’s amazing how far you can go in just a single year, isn’t it? Just imagine the possibilities for the next one, eh?
Cheers! 🙂

Ma chère Laura, c’est à ton tour, de te laisser parler d’amour! Ma chère Laura, c’est à ton tour, de te laisser parler d’amour!
Anyone who plugs that into Google translator will probably have a WTF moment, but I assure you, that’s the traditional French-Canadian version of Happy Birthday 🙂

Happy Blog Birthday! How exciting! I’ve so enjoyed your blog during the past (almost) year that I’ve been blogging and can’t think of a thing that I would change! Keep up the great work!

Wow, that means I have been following your blog since shortly after starting mine. To think we were both relatively new to this. I am so glad I found your blog – you’ve taught me so much! I wish you a happy birthday and a prosperous blog year!

Laura,
Congratulations on your blog’s first birthday. You’ve accomplished so much in infancy, I can’t wait to see what you’ll do when you grow up. 🙂

And congrats again on the new paid gigs.
Aren’t paid gigs fun?

Laura, congratulations on the blog anniversary. I believe we crossed paths last Spring, so I’ve been keeping up with you ever since. Glad to hear that you are getting so many visitors on a regular basis too.
Nice to know that you will be getting a second paid blogging opportunity. I have two as well so I know how good it is to get paid for your effort.
Happy 2008 and keep on blogging!

Happy Birthday, Laura. Congratulations! You’re doing great and it’s wonderful to have you as a friend. We wouldn’t have met if it weren’t for the blogosphere.

Happy Birthday … You have accomplished a lot in one year and I’m sure the rewards is more than the monetary gain that you rightfully deserved. Hip hip horray …

Hi Vivienne!
Thanks!
Actually, the direct monetary reward for this blog last year was pretty small. Under $100 for paid posts that ultimately cost me my Google page rank here.
However, this blog has led to other things: new friends, a few new clients, and a few paid blogging gigs. All-in-all, that’s not too bad.
