This week’s “of note” blog is from Linda Formichelli and Diana Burrell, authors of the popular book, The Renegade Writer. Their blog is called, naturally, The Renegade Writer Blog. If you’re serious about writing, this is one blog that you won’t want to miss.
I just loved the posts on The Renegade Writer Blog this week. I particularly enjoyed the post, Next time you’re asked to write for free … . I wanted to say, “yes, finally, somebody gets it. This is a job.”

Take the time to study this blog, it has a lot to offer.
Note: If you’re consistently posting great information and haven’t seen your blog featured in Of Note yet, I apologize. I’ll probably find you soon. I know there are a lot of great blogs out there; I discover more new ones each day. (So many blogs, so little time .)

Superb post there, Jeanne. I hope you don’t mind if I settle in.

hehe yeah, some people want you to write for free but it is a highly talented skill and you should be paid for utilizing your time/effort

I actually lurk around their site often…
But what about the book, Laura? Did you read it? I was really curious about it, you know? If you have, I would certainly appreciate your input – and I am sure most of your readers would like to know how you feel about it.

Laura-
What if I didn’t ask you to write for free (as if) , but I did ask you to think about blogging for charity?

Hi Jeanne, Matt, Mig, and Kate
Jeanne – I’m glad you found another blog that you might like. After all, that is the purpose of this feature. 😉
Wayne, make yourself comfortable. I hope to see a lot more of you.
Mig, This is one of three books on my wish list. I have been hoping for a copy to turn up at the used bookstore, but so far no such luck. (I did, however, read the Six Figure Freelancer e-book that I’m listing in the sidebar.)
Kate, I’ll think about it. It sounds like a great project!

Hi Daniel!
One of my purposes with the “of note” series was to create a list of resources that other writers could turn to. That being said, I’m glad that you enjoyed this “of note” pick.
