Another Look at Blog Comments (Results)

June 8th, 2007 · 11 Comments

Last week I posted on the importance of leaving comments on blog posts.

Over 32 bloggers responded by leaving comments on the post. I was really pleased that so many people “got the message.”

The post was also linked to at least two times and I found three other posts (not necessarily inspired by my post) that included the importance of leave comments in their discussion.

I thought I would share the linking posts with you and the other posts on comments. (There was a third linking site, but the blogger uses some adult terms throughout his site and I don’t want to post anything that my kids can’t read.)

Other recent posts on commenting:

Another really neat result of the original post on blog comments is that I discovered 11 brand new blogs by following commentator’s links. I decided to list my discoveries here:

  1. Webstractions
  2. Colloquium
  3. Arts & Crafts
  4. Necessary Skills
  5. Versa
  6. GardenWall Publications
  7. My Flights of Fancy
  8. Trying to Catch Up
  9. The Century Times
  10. Little Woolgatherings
  11. Tech Lemming

I hope you enjoy reading my discoveries!

Hi Peter! Welcome back. I hope a few more folks discover you through this link!

Thanks for the mention of Versa Creations Marketing & Advertising blog.

Some bloggers thumbed down on the Technorati Exchange saying that it’s just a means to get higher page ranking. I saw it as an opportunity to broaden my horizon and get to know more people around the world. Whoever “faved” my blog will get me to visit their blogs. That’s how I came to know you. And when I read your very meaningful blog post on leaving comments, I did. Internet is but cable and wires if not for the people behind.

Nice to know you, Laura. Now I know I have someone I can consult on copy. 🙂

Thanks for your endorsement, Laura. It’s both unexpected and flattering! 🙂

    Hi Vivienne!

I know that a lot of people dislike long lists of links, but I think that if they are used properly such lists can be helpful. By used properly, I mean that people are actually clicking the links (as you did), rather than just publishing links to have links published.

However the method, I’m glad to have you as a reader.

Mdy, I was happy to point my readers to your link.
